Tanuki and I saw The Aviator last night. It was a fun movie to watch. A biopic style movie about Howard Hughes I saw in the mid 80’s flashed through my mind while I was watching The Aviator. It was interesting to see two different director’s take on HH. I heard that The Aviator got 11 Oscar nominations, but based on what I saw I can’t understand how they could think it was that good. It was good, just not Oscar good.
I’ve been a cuddle freak lately. Any time I’ve got Tanuki close to my grasp I’ve been getting as close to her as I can. I like that she’s small enough to fit in my belly when I spoon her, and I like that she strokes my head when she cuddles me when I’m laying on my back. She’s just a really lovable and loving person, and I really enjoy that. The more cuddles the better!
When I got home this morning I checked mail and there was a message from Katt’s Dr saying her blood tests came back with a higher level of an anti depressant she takes and that they needed her to go to Emergency and get an ECG. Bleh. They upped the dose of this antidepressant about 6 weeks ago and they have been doing great followup, but it makes me nervous that they have her on a medication that could fuck up her heart if they give her too much. Thankfully her ECG came back 100% normal, and we have an appt with her Dr on Tuesday to discuss options if this medication is causing issues.
As far as I know this weekend is set aside for relaxing, unless a photo opportunity comes up with a model/friend of ours. The first week of February is going to be pretty busy, so this weekend I’m going to be a slouch.
I went for a screening appointment at a local dental hygenist school to see if I qualify for having student clean my teeth. Since we can’t afford to see a dentist regularly we decided to check out the dental clinic because it was close, comprehensive, and inexpensive. Thus far it looks like it’s a go for both Katt and I. I was told I have magnificent teeth, which I do, and barely any tartar, but that I may need to have some sealant put on one of my molars where the old sealant is getting manky.
I also stopped by the bank today to send of my server payment. The big news that I’ve been sitting on can be told now that I’ve made all the arrangements. We will be switching to a new dedicated server company between Feb15th and March 1st. Our current dedicated server provider is local, but is expensive. I really have nothing bad to say about them. They’re a good company, but they just don’t get the cheap bandwidth from telus that bigger companies can. The current server I use is a Celeron 1.7Ghz with 512MB RAM, a 120 Gig HD and 200GB of bandwidth a month. It’s old and slow and the bandwidth is prohibitively expensive past 200GB. I found a company in Montreal that offers really competitive services. I’ve ordered a P4 3.0Ghz HT server with 2GB RAM, 2×80Gig HD, and 1000GB of bandwidth a month that is cheaper than what I pay for my current server!
For the few folks that host with me, there shouldn’t be any disruption in service. I will be backing up the data on the current server on February 14th and copying/restoring it to the new server on Feb 15 and 16. I will troubleshoot on Feb 17 and 18, and will make the new server live on February 19 or 20. Nothing will need to change on your end. Mail, ftp, and everything else will remain the same.
I’m excited about the switch. It will give us a lot more room to grow. Now that we have added some video clips, and will continue to add video clips to other sites we have, our bandwidth usage will skyrocket. Having the extra 800GB will be very handy. I’m not looking forward to restoring my sql databases. The cunning linguists top list will be easy. I’m not sure how easy my journal will be to back up and restore. It should be easy enough, but we shall see. I’ll also have to harden the new server as well against DOS attacks and hack attempts. The wonderful aspect of a linux server is that there are great programs being made as freeware that help protect servers. I love the linux community online. It’s fantastic.
Tanuki came over tonight and we spent most of the evening cuddling and kissing. I also smacked her bottom with an aluminum cored leather paddle until she cried. I get incredibly turned on when she cries. It’s one of the benefits of being a sadist. She’s just so yummy! She’s incredibly sweet and loving and seeing her smile at me makes my heart swell.
Katt and I will have our 13th anniversary on February 2nd. Wow. It doesn’t seem like 13 years have passed at all. I met her when I was 20 and she was 22 and this year I’ll be turning 34, and she’ll be turning 36. It’s kind of mind boggling. I can’t imagine my life without her.
I never expected my life would be this good. I own my own business, small as it is, I have two wonderful women in my life that love me despite my flaws, I own my own home, I have two lovely little bugs, and my life is filled to the brim with possibilties and opportunities.
Life is good.

Yay! Results!
I love to see positive results from the work I do on the websites. It is very satisfying and motivating. I’m hoping the trend will continue.
Other than work, working out, and being slothful, there hasn’t been much new with me. I’m working out less than I hoped, but am generally feeling healthy. I’m still eating a donut and drinking a liter of cola a day. I’m working on it. I haven’t been motivated to change I guess. What I have been doing is making myself eat real meals, and snack on fruit throughout the day. If I’m not eating perfectly, at least I can try to eat food that will fuel me properly. And considering a cola and donut is my worst vice, I’m doing pretty well.

We had a very unexpected photo shoot opportunity come up last night. I got a message from Tanuki that Jade was interested in shaving her head. 2 hours later Jade was over and we started shooting photos for some of the foot fetish sites, Buried in Butt, and the Head Shave site.
I’ve been stressing out a bit lately because we haven’t been doing as many photo shoots as we need to keep up with the demand for content. I am really happy we were able to shoot so much varied content tonight. We’ve got over an hour of raw video and 1100 photos! Our Head Shave members are going to be ecstatic.
I have spent most of today doing minor adjustments to some of our sites design. Nothing major, just things like changing colour schemes, resizing some images and thumbnails, and tightening things up a wee bit. It’s important to have change every now and again, it keeps the site fresh to visitors and reminds them that someone is actually taking care of the site.
I’m going to go back to trying to be slothful. I was going to watch TV and read all day but I have not had much success. Sunday TV sucks!

I’ve got videos up on HeadShave finally. Once I realized that it was not feasable to get a streaming server for the websites, I decided to offer the clips as downloadable videos. Over the next week or so I’ll add video clips to the other sites that I have clips for, Dominaction, BBW, and Mistress Katt.
I spent part of the day Thursday and Friday advertising our foot fetish sites. All 6 of them. I’ve noticed over the years that it’s getting harder and harder to find reliable sources of traffic. When we started almost 5 years ago we’d get thousands of incoming hits a day from a single source. Over the years that return has dwindled on new sources. I need to explore new methods of ethical guerilla marketing. It’s time consuming but it may bring us some better returns.
I mentioned the slow down in conversions an entry or two ago. It’s very likely an after holiday slow down. Everyone spent a lot of money for the holidays and are paying off bills which doesn’t leave much for extras.
I am also thinking of redesigning some of our lower converting websites. I wish I had better graphic design skills! I can make simple sites, but I really want to make something with a bigger punch visually. I’m positive that I can increase conversions if I have a better layout. The amazing content is already there, I just need to display it for potential members better.

I had a very nice night last night. Tanuki and I went for a lovely dinner and we stayed the night at her place. I have to remind myself I can’t walk around naked at her place with her room mates! She’s such a sweetie. I really enjoy the time I spend with her.
I’ve been on a roll for getting errands done, doing site updates, advertising the sites, and making connections with models for future shoots. I’m really trying to make our sites more appealing to potential members. We’ve hit the slow spot after the holidays so new signups are slower than usual. I’m trying to find new places to advertise so we can expand our market.
I’m also still working on setting up video clips for the sites. I’ve realized that it’s too expensive to pay a licensing fee to be able to use one of the two available streaming media servers that operate on a linux system, so I’m going to have to allow the clips to be fully downloadable. I didn’t want to do that because it makes it too easy for people to take the clips and put them on peer2peer and file sharing networks which means people get what we spend our own money and time on for free. We’re going to give it a try and see how it goes.
We did a fun video/photo shoot tonight. A request was made that katt rub various lotions onto her breasts, so we ran with it.

I feel really good today.
Really Good.
I’ve had lots of energy all day. I’ve been in a good mood all day. Best of all, I haven’t felt irritable or grumpy at all today. I’m not sure what was different about today as compared with other days, but I hope to continue the trend. Best of all my knee felt a lot better, and my quads were fucntional, of not sore.
Let’s see. I woke up and ate a donut and drank some cola. I cleaned up a little, swept the floors, did some laundry, and did a small grocery shop. I also came to a resolution with our dedicated server hosting that makes me happy. I downloaded a video from our camcorder and edited it and encoded it for the websites. It was a lot of fun making that video! I did a web search on hard drives and places locally to get them cheaply. I also decided what to do with our third computer (I’m going to wipe the HD and install Fedora core 3 on the machine and build a web server from scratch). I had a great workout tonight too. When I got home I baked some chicken breast in herbs and olive oil in the oven and steamed some cauliflower and a potato and made a spinach salad, and I ate it all.
On Tuesday I have two errands to run. I need to do a few site updates as well, though I think the errands will keep me rather busy most of the day.
Hopefully my day tomorrow will be as good as it was today!

The knee survived a hardcore workout tonight. I feel pretty good about that. I went into the evening feeling a bit discouraged about my injuries, but I managed to train at 80% the whole ninety minutes without tweaking my knee very much at all. My quads, however, feel like watery jello. Yay!
I’ve been trying to read journals for my friends that are on livejournal with no success. It seems they had a massive power outage and they are slowly bringing all their servers online. This is why I am glad I host my own journal sites. If my server dies I can have it or a replacement within a few hours. Nasty business having to go down for hours and hours and hours. I feel for the folks at livejournal that are trying to get 100+ servers up and running!
Saturday I’ll be updating all of the foot fetish websites. I really need to do some advertising as well, but that’s last on my things I enjoy list, so it often gets left for last. There’s a local fetish play party happening Saturday night that I’m taking tanuki to. It should be a fun evening.
Oh yeah, Katt and Tanuki and I all went to the Taboo sex show on Thursday night. There were a few interesting booths but mostly it was different sex toy stores exhibiting their wares. A lot of the same thing repeated over and over again. It was interesting to see other porn producers there though trying to sign up new models for video and photo work or for working in chat rooms. The chat room thing seems to be really huge, as does Canadian College girls Go Wild. I have a real problem with the whole Girls Gone Wild productions. Usually the folks videotaping wait until everyone is smash drunk, get them to sign a quickie model release, and start filming. I don’t like the ethics around that. Someone piss drunk cannot give informed consent.
Lastly, for today, the Millionaire Lottery draws tomorrow for the early bird prizes, and again on the 22nd for the big prizes. It’s exciting! I’m not expecting to win anything, but I still enjoy the anticipation and dreaming about what we’d do if we won a big prize. It would really allow us to fast track a lot of life plans and goals and get out of debt. Small prizes are cool too. I like surprises!

I’m in a bad mood tonight. I’m feeling really frustrated that I hurt my knee, and I don’t even know how. I can’t pivot on my left leg at all without serious pain. I also can’t extend the leg quickly without pain. I’m starting to wonder about the consistent nature of my injuries and whether I need to switch to another sport in the future. I really don’t want to stop because I love what I do, but at the same time I’m constantly injured and unable to work out 100% anyways.
I’ll start rehabbing my knee and avoiding using it for any motions that require me to pivot, or require the knee to extend quickly. I can’t stop training right now though. I need to be able to practice. If I can make it through the next 5 weeks I’ll really be happy. If I still have pain after 5 weeks I’ll determine what to do from there.
I think I definitely need to add some weights to my exercise routine. That will help strengthen the injured ligaments and stabilize the knee. I’ll go get some ibuprofen as well, and RICE it liberally.
