Katt’s computer died again today. Not the laptop, but her desktop, with all the important e-mail. Thankfully it was just a dead IDE cable for the Hard Drive that was easily fixed.
Our TV went wonky today too. We have been talking about replacing our TV eventually, but we decided to wait until our current TV went wonky. We’ve had it since 1996 so it’s had a very good life. When we turned it on tonight the blues were all RED! The tube seems to be giving up the ghost. THe first thing Katt asked, jokingly, was if I had mucked with the TV. Nope!
So tomorrow after I have my sports medicine appointment I’ll pick up a new TV on the way home. I was thinking of a 30″ widescreen CRT, but the 27″ version was $250 cheaper. So I’ll get the cheaper one.
I like TV occasionally, so it’ll be nice to have a larger screen! 27″ will make our old 19″ look huge.
My Laptop just died. Katt was using it and she got a “Drive C corrupted” message. And yes, it is corrupted. I am making boot disks so I can get in there to see if I can fix it.
Not so much fun. Very frustrating.

After making several boot disks, none of which worked, I used my windows XP disk to boot the recovery console on the laptop. I ran chkdsk and voila, the hard drive works again. I defragged the HD as well for good measure. Yay for working laptops.
So I played in my first poker tournament tonight. I started off well. I won a few hands, got some good money. But I over played my last and and went all in, hoping for a 6 on the river to match my pocket 6’s. Nope. So I went out after 45 minutes of play in round 4. I don’t think I did too badly for my first time.

Ok, so who is into a poker night on Sundays? A weekly thing at my place.
My weight lifting routine has been going really well. I am averaging 3 days a week. I try to start each workout with 20 mins of cardio. Soemtimes all the cardio machines are taken so I skip the cardio warm up and go right to weights. On days one and three I do 40 minutes of weights with my upper body. I do chest, biceps, triceps, upper & lower back, and abs. If I have time left over I’ll do a second chest, bicep and tricep exercise. On day two I do my legs, lower back, and abs. I also spend 15-20 minutes in the pool afterwards.
In the 6 weeks or so I’ve been lifting I’ve put 2″ on my chest, and 1″ on my biceps. My quads and calfs are an inch bigger too. The only measurement that hasn’t changed is my waist! Hmm.. it’s that whole cardio thing.
I’m hoping I can get back to kicking some arse soon. I’ll find out on June 30 what can be done about my ankles, and then I can forumate a plan based on the information the Dr gives me. 9 more days!
And in other news, Katt and my 10 year wedding anniversary is this Thursday. It’s strange to think we’ve been together since I was 21 and she was 23. 13 years later it barely seems as if any time has passed. The only way I can really tell the passing of time, other than the calendar, is by the increased creaking of my aging bones. Other than that I feel as young as I ever have.
I love having someone come in once a week to do a deep clean of our condo. We put an ad up on a few local lists and an old friend of ours offered to come and clean for us. It’s been really fantastic. She’s someone we’ve known since before Katt and I were married; in fact, she and her husband were our witnesses at our marriage. It’s working out really well. I love having a really sparkly clean home. It’s awesome.
I have some interesting news about my ankles too. It seems that arhtroscopic surgery might be an option to get rid of some of the bone spurs causing my ankle to lock up. I am VERY excited. If I can run again and get back into martial arts at a similar level to what I was doing before I’d be really excited and greatful. I’ll find out on the 30th of June what can be done.
Tomorrow I’m back to the gym. I think my workout will consist of some cardio on the terrorlyptical trainer, some weights, and a short swim. I’m looking forward to it.
I started playing online poker recently, and have been having a real blast playing. I like the fact that I can play for free too. It allows me to practice and learn. I think it’s a good sign that I started with 1500 chips and I’m over 30,000 now. I lose more hands than I win, but I seem to have gotten the hang of folding when appropriate. It’s a fun game.
I have my own poker set too. I was thinking of having weekly poker nights at my place during the summer. I just need to determine if there is any interest. I was thinking Sunday evening. Poker, pizza, and beer.
The Grudge is a freaky movie. It is one of the scariest movies I have seen in a long time. The whole idea of a petite Japan ese woman and her son as vengeful ghosts really translated well. The make-up and cg effects were awesome.
My sex drive is a funny thing. Some days it’s rampaging, and other days it makes a sloth look speedy. I was talking to Tanuki last night and she asked me what my fantasies are, and I thought for a few minutes and realized that I’ve lived all my fantasies. Darn it, I have to come up with some new ones!
There are some fantasies that are better lived in the imagination, like group sex and gang bangs. The idea of having sex with lots of people at once is fun until you sit down to think how challenging it would be to find that many people that you are attracted to. Then there’s the whole STD issue. Even with condoms it gets tricky.
STD’s are one of the major concerns I have as a pornographer and model. It’s the main reason, thus far, that I’ve only had sex on cam with long term partners. It’s also one of the main reasons I haven’t been more open to casual sexual relationships.
Funily enough it’s Katt and Tanuki that are encouraging me to be more open to more casual sex. They figure I’ll get hornier by having more sex, and I can’t really argue with that. I figure if I am going to be more open to it that I’ll explore that in the context of photography. Since I am so paranoid about STD’s, it’s barriers all the way around. I have been wanting to make a video about safe sex anyways, so that might be something I can work on too.
I spent today advertising the hell our of our foot fetish websites. I also made a few new hosted galleries for the BBW sites. I’m finding it hard to keep up with all of our sites.
