Yanked from Donna.

Did anyone close to you give birth?

Yes, my sister.

Did anyone close to you die?
Nobody died this year that I know,

What places did you visit?
The standard - Victoria and Victoria.

What would you like to have in 2006 that you lacked in 2005?
I would like for Katt to have a better year. I love her very very much and I hope this year is the start of many happier years for her.

I would also like to expand my social circle in 2006. I get awfuly lonely at times as I tend to isolate myself in a not good way.

What date from 2005 will remain etched upon your memory?
They all kind of blended together.

What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Asie from the generalities of actually making it through another year… I made it to the gym 5 days a week for 5 months in a row, before my ankle finally said fuck you.

What was your biggest failure?
I think I did as best I could this year, so I don’t really see myself as having any huge failures. There are certainly things I wish had turned out better, but I can honestly say I did my best in every circumstance.

Did you suffer illness or injury?
I found out I had osteoarthritis and a bone chip in my ankle from over 20 years of martial arts and running. Other than that just minor head colds and my freaking awful heartburn.

What was the best thing you bought?
The car. We only bought it a week ago, but it’s the best purchase we’ve made in a few years. Other than that, just odds and sods for business and such.

Whose behaviour merited celebration?
Mine. I am amazing.

Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Lots of people. Politicians, the uncaring, the unbelieving, and the asshats.

Where did most of your money go?
Our mortgage & student loan debt.

What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Harry Potter. Battlestar Galactica.

What song(s) will always remind you of 2005?
Taco Flavored Kisses

Compared to this time last year, are you:

Happier or sadder? Happier, I think.
Thinner or fatter? Heavier.
Richer or poorer? Poorer.

What do you wish you’d done more of?
I wish I’d been more social and made some new friends.

What do you wish you’d done less of?
Compromise.

How will you be spending New Year’s?
With extended family.

Did you fall in love in 2005?
No, but an intimate relationship was ended by mutual consent.

How many one-night stands?
None. I don’t do one nighters.

Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?
I don’t hate anyone.

Do you like anyone now that you hated this time last year?
see above

What was the best book you read?
I’m supposed to remember one best out of the few hundred books I read this year? I’m re-reading a series by Janny Wurts, Alliance of Light and Shadow i think it’s called. Very good.

What was your greatest musical discovery?
The Chronic WHAT?! les of Narnia!

What did you want and get?
Release.

What did you want and not get?
A stable of willing submissives bent on helping me achieve my goal of world domination.

What was your favorite film this year ?
Again, I’m supposed to remember this? I’ll say Harry Potter just because it’s the first one I can remember. Serenity was ok too.

What did you do on your birthday?
I went for sushi and had some rectal sex.

What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Blah Blah world peace, blah blah not being depressed blah blah. Oh yeah, and my ankle would have been fine and I could have continued martial arts.

How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2005?
Grown up.

What kept you sane?
Hope.

Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Angelina Jolie. She’s the third hottest woman on earth.

What political issue stirred you the most?
Gay marriage. (I am pro).

Who did you miss?
Aya. Very much.

Who was the best new person you met?
Did I meet new people this year? I don’t remember.

Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2005:
Sometimes it’s better to bend over and pick up the soap.

Fun fun fun

Ξ December 30th, 2005 | → Comments Off | ∇ General, Porn Notes |

It’s been a fun holiday season so far. Christmas was very good with my family. Since we arrived in Victoria we’ve been playing a lot of cards with Katt’s family, eating lots of good food, driving around to lots of thrift stores, and drinking lots of very good beer.

We’ve been dreaming about doing some travelling. We’re not in a position to be able to do long trips until spring, but we’re both talking about a cross country trip and perhaps taking 6 months to go across Canada and down through the US and back up the west coast. It’s just a thought, a tiny glimmer, at this point. In order to do something like that we’d need to rent our condo while we were gone, make sure our health was good, do lots of planning, and have some savings. Someday.

I have noticed a few things that need to be done to the car. It needs new rotors, and it needs new tires. The rotors are slightly warped and vibrate when braking at high speed, and the tires are winter tires. I need to get some all seasons. Other minor things; I need to fix the drivers side passenger door lock and fix the passenger side rear seat belt. Not too bad for a 10 year old car.

I bought and installed a program to help protect against password theft today for our websites. I am tired of being scammed. I get a few e-mails a week complaining that our pay sites aren’t available for free. I also find people giving away passwords to 50 of their friends. There is a real belief that they are entitled to see material that I pay to make, pay to host, and pay to advertise, for free.

The sad thing is that these folks are shooting themselves in the foot. You’d think they’d want to support the people making the good quality material so that they’d continue to make new material, not cheat them so that they go out of business.

In general, we are quite lucky. We have a great base of members that are very supportive, and we appreciate them a lot. It allows us to have a great hobby that we enjoy a lot, and cover our costs on a fairly regular basis.

This new program will detect whether passwords are being used by multiple people and suspend any accounts that meet the criteria I specify. I am hoping it will help. Thus far I’m really impressed with the functionality of the program.

I am looking forward to a year of making great new porn. 2006 should be a great year.

Very tired

We’ve travelled a lot over the last 4 days. We’ve been in transit for about 12 hours all together to get to my family and then to katt’s family.

We had a nice Christmas with my family. We had the traditional turkey dinner with all the trimmings. It was very tasty. We left on boxing day to go to see Katt’s family. We arrived just in time for make your own sushi night. Much fun.

We are thinking of going to San Francisco in spring. Now that were mobile we have trips going through our heads like sugar plum fairies. We’re going to wait until after my surgery, and until after we’ve photographed had a number of models we’ve made plans to photograph. There are lots of new possibilities now that we are with vehicle.

Other trips are under consideration too: Seattle, Portland, Las Vegas, a cross Canada trip. We’re pondering.

I should sleep soon. It’s 3:30am. I spent a few hours looking for better password protection scripts tonight after learning that there is some trading and stealing going on. Stealing pissed me off. I’ll talk more about why, later. For now, I’m going to try to sleep.

Oh yeah!

Bad Dream

Ξ December 24th, 2005 | → 3 Comments | ∇ General |

I had a very bad dream last night. I was running through the woods, fighting demons as I could. I got cornered in a grove of trees and bushes, and I used a magical stave I had to light the trees on fire so the demonds couldn’t hide from me. Unfortunately, I didn;t turn around fast enough and a demon reached into my chest and killed me. After I ‘died’ I went to this limbo place where I saw 20 or 30 books filled with art that I ‘made’, by just being, throughout my life. The third to last image was of a demon overshadowing a smaller figure. The second to last image was of the stars, as viewd by me while lying on my back on the ground, dying, and the last image was of only a few stars. There were no more images.

I knew I was dreaming and I tried really hard to wake up. I started to thrash about in my dream, and call out for help. I knew if i thrashed hard enough and yelled loud enough in my dream, that something would translate into real life. Katt did hear me, and she woke me up, thankfully. She told me I was moving around and making noises like I was being tortured.

I am very happy she woke me up. That was the nastiest dream I’ve had. Ever, I think. I’ve never died in a dream before. Spooky.

Happily, I fell back alseep and had no further recurring dreams.

And my day today was much fun.

Katt is my hero! I love you, princess!

New Car

Ξ December 22nd, 2005 | → 1 Comments | ∇ General |

We bought a car today. We decided last night to buy a car instead of renting one just for the holidays. It’ll mean a little belt tightening around here, but it will be worth it. I got a burgundy coloured 1995 Geo Metro. It’s not a fancy car by any means, but it’s in good condition, runs well, and is good on gas. I usually buy Volkswagon, but it’s hard to find a 10 year old VW for under 6 grand. This was an acceptable compromise at 2 grand.

I’m glad I get a good insurance discount because of my good driving record. I get 43% off because I’ve not had any at fault accidents, speeding tickets, or claims. I don’t tell them it’s because I haven’t owned a car in 5 years. I -am- a good driver, but not driving is certainly a great way to get a good record!

We’ve got parking in the building all arranged too. We’ll have a spot waiting for us when we get back into town in the new year.

Merry Christmas to us.

Canada’s top court says clubs with group sex, swapping are legal

Ξ December 21st, 2005 | → Comments Off | ∇ Sex Talk |

There is now a definitive answer to whether or not swingers clubs and sex clubs are legal in Canada. This, arguably, can be extended to BDSM clubs as well.

Canada’s top court says clubs with group sex, swapping are legal | CP

The article brings into focus the whole idea of community standards and how it differs from community to community and tehrefor wasn’t something that could be used to decide the issue. Instead theyused a more practical definition of what consititutes a disruption to society. Fucking in public in streets bad, fucking behind closed doors with multiple consenting partners good.

One more for the good guys.

More poker happiness

Ξ December 21st, 2005 | → Comments Off | ∇ Poker |

I played poker for an hour or so tonight. After going up and down for a bit, I ended up +$8 for the hour of play. For the 2 hours I played over the whole day, I’m up $15. And this is playing .01/.02 stakes in no limit hold’em.

I made most of it on my final hand. I had an AdQd, and flopped a flush draw. The turn didn’t do me any good. I knew at least one person had 3 of a kind (4’s), and decided to keep up with the betting and see what the river had to offer. I had 9 outs, and pot odds of 2:1, so I couldn’t not call on the river.

Total pot $13.68 Main pot $5.19. Side pot-1 $0.54. Side pot-2 $7.30. | Rake $0.65
Board [8d 4c 4d 3h 7d]
Seat 1: MisterWolfe showed [Ad Qd] and won ($13.03) with a flush, Ace high
Seat 2: folded on the Flop
Seat 3: folded before Flop (didn’t bet)
Seat 4: showed [Kh Jd] and lost with a pair of Fours
Seat 6:folded before Flop (didn’t bet)
Seat 7: (button) mucked [Jh 4s]
Seat 8: (small blind) folded on the Flop
Seat 9: (big blind) showed [4h Ac] and lost with three of a kind, Fours

I’m getting good at this. Of course, I’m not getting rich playing penny poker. I am just having a a good time playing. It’s good recreation. I play at the open tables to make enough to enter the sit&go tournaments. The tournaments are the fun part. It’s challenging to outlast 45 other people. I imagine i’ll play a whole lot of poker the few days after surgery next month. Reading, poker, and masturbation. The new holy trinity.

A week

Ξ December 20th, 2005 | → Comments Off | ∇ General |

This was written over a few different days, so please ignore the consisitency errors.

Six more days until we’re on ‘holidays’. Between now and then I need to update the sites I have content for by Friday and clean the condo so it is nice for when we come home.

I got the dogs some beef chews today, and picked up some shrimp for the girl at the grocery store. I went downtown to get myself a book to read. I was surprised at how busy the book store was, until I remembered it was just 6 days before Christmas and all the late shoppers were out gifting. I tried to hit the Future Shop but the veritable sea of something resembling humanity overwhealmed me before getting past the entry to the store and I ran away as fast as my feet would carry me.

I guess it was a productive day. I washed the bed linen, cleaned the loft, made the bed, grocked, dog shopped, book shopped, sushi pick upped, and I bought some Glenlivet.

Tuesday was somewhat productive as well. Did a few Dr’s visits, picked up some chicken for dinner, and went to the library. So exciting.

I also picked up me new prepaid frikkin credit card today. Woo! I cashed some cheques, loaded the card, and I was on my way. It was super easy. I have a ‘temporary’ card, until the real one arrives in the mail, so I can use it to do what I need in the meantime. I’ll use it to do the deposit thing for the car rental over the holidays. I also used it to buy the Babylon 5 Scripts that I’ve been wanting for months and months. Babylon 5 is my favorite TV show ever, so when I found out that the creator was doing a 15 volume self published series that includes all of the scripts, and plot directions they never developed, etc etc, I had to indulge. Volumes 1 and 2 will be on my doorstep when we get back into town in January! Woo! The only DVD set I’m missing now from B5 is the first season. That’s a new years thing as well since renting the car is going to dig into savings and I don’t want to spend too much money. Must be frugal, somewhat.

Now it’s 4 more days until the holidays. All that’s left to do is wrap gifts for the nieces and nephews.

Poker loveliness

Ξ December 18th, 2005 | → Comments Off | ∇ Poker |

I just won a nice amount of change in a penny poker game playing against a very loose player. He kept going all in, so I waited until I had a hand, and beat him once for 4 bucks, and then a few hands later hands later.. Well, this is how it unfolded.

Total pot $11.23 Main pot $5.54. Side pot $5.14. | Rake $0.55
Board [9s 8s 7s Js 9d]
Seat 1: showed [Ad Td] and lost with a straight, Seven to Jack
Seat 2: folded before Flop (didn’t bet)
Seat 3: (button) folded before Flop (didn’t bet)
Seat 5: MisterWolfe (small blind) showed [Ts Th] and won ($10.68) with a straight flush, Seven to Jack
Seat 6: (big blind) mucked [Kc 2c]
Seat 7: folded before Flop (didn’t bet)
Seat 9: folded before Flop (didn’t bet)

My first straight flush EVER! Woo!

I’d never played against such a loose player before, but I knew that if he kept going all in that I’d eventually get a good hand that would beat him. The first hand I beat him I had AA and got myself a flush. The second time a straight flush. Yay for me!

I haven’t been playing much poker lately because I find gambling for money pretty stressful. I only invested $25 bucks, less than the cost of my trips to the book store, but still, it’s anxiety provoking. I am up $10 from my initial invstment now so I will enter some tournaments. Tournaments are a lot of fun. Much more interesting than playing at an open table.
