There were a few bumps along the moving road, but more or less went well. The movers damaged out 150 year old chinese cabinet, and they took 5.25 hours to move what was moved before in 3 hours. I was slightly ticked at that. I brought it up with the manager and mentioned that the same volume of stuff was moved in 3 hours a few years ago, and that it took 1.5 hours longer to unload the stuff into storage than it did to load up the van. It all seemed a bit odd to me. The movers are contracted out by the storage place, so when I spoke of my concerns, the manager realized what I was saying made sense and she made sure I was taken care of. That’s why I keep using this place; they do a good job, and when they don’t, they fix it. When we move the cabinet out of storage in however many years, they will pay to have it fixed. That is very good.
I also bought a new camera today. It was on sale and the sale ended today, so I wanted to take advantage of the huge savings. It’sa very pretty camera. It’s the Pentax ist DL Digital SLR. I didn’t get a SD card for it though, since I could only affor dthe camera today. Woo! A camera with no ability to record photos! Actually, we won’t be doing photos this week anyways. I’ll pick up a 2GB SD card next week sometime, and a flash for the hot shoe. I can’t wait to take photos with this camera!
The web business is now incorporated. I am now the director of Erotimedia Services Inc. All of my sites are now under that banner. We incorporated because all web businesses should be incorporated. There are liability issues with online businesses and it makes sense to incorporate to protect yourself and your business.
I’m really tired. It’s been a long month; first waiting for our condo to sell, and then waiting to move. In actuality it all went quite quickly from decision to selling our place. We decided to sell our place and travel in early January. Once my surgery was oer and done with and I was walking again we called the realtor in mid February and we had our place on the market within a week after that. We had our place sold by March 7th. Not too shabby. Still, I’m pooped. And I miss my bed already.
Anyone that knows me well knows that I LOVE my bed. It will be interesting getting used to sleeping in the RV onve we pick it up and move our stuff into it. I wonder how long it will take for the RV bed to become MY bed.
Now that the move is done, perhaps I’ll bore my faithful readers a little less with fewer tales of moving wonder. If I am up to it, I may write dirty pretty things, or perhaps some insightful pretty things, or maybe just post mindless memes!

Yes, I’m wasting time saying that the move has started and more than 2/3 of our stuff is now in the truck.
Go me!

99.8% of everything we own in the whole world is now packed up and ready to go into storage. The other .02% is packed in boxes labelled “VAN” and will be packed in the RV once we pick it up on Tuesday. I called the RV dealership today and heard the wonderful news that new front tires had been put on the van and that the front brakes have been redone. I like good tires and brakes.
I still have to empty the fridge. I’ll bring all the non-expired stuff and donate it to the family member we’re staying with for the next 5 days. I’ll also pack the bed linen when we wake up tomorrow morning, since we still ned a bed tonight.
Our place looks so wierd. Well, not really our place anymore. It’s sold and gone. Still, it’s odd to think we won’t be coming back here again. Eight years of nostalgia have built up. Thankfully the excitement of travelling will reduce the shock time dramatically.
The other bonus is that we have movers coming in to deal with the ENTIRE move from condo to storage. I am glad to have that hassle in someone elses hands.
We did the whole notary/title transfer thing today. I was hoping the money from the condo sale would be in the account by the closing date, but it looks like it won’t be there until late Monday, which means we won’t be able to get the Van until Tuesday.
The move happens from 10am-1pm tomorrow, and then I’ll have to come back and sweep up either later that night or Friday afternoon before I give the keys to the real estate agent.
Then we’re FREE!!!! YAY!

The headache is finally gone! Yay!
We move in 5 days!
I need to give away things we don’t need. Assorted kitchen items in a box. A Desk. A Computer chair.
I must pack clothes & take down shelving.
I must throw away food that is opened and will spoil the day before we move.
I must buy more beer.
I must pay attention to the fact that I’m turning 35 on April 12. Eeek!
I am really excited about buying our RV. It’s going to be so COOL!
We hired movers . YAY! I get to direct!

I’ve got the beginnings of a stress and sugar induced headache. We’re having a moving sale today, to which only one person has come so far, and I still have to pack the clothes and take down shelving upstairs. If we don’t sell the stuff we don’t want, I’ll have to find some place to donate it to.
Oh, Donna, we’ll have some stuff for WISH, if you’re still there. If you can come pick it up before Weds, it’s yours.
I also haven’t gotten a single call for the car. It looks like I’ll be putting it up for auction once we have picked up our van. I I just spoke with the auction folks and it seems that I won’t have any problem selling the car during the first auction. That means I have to drive out to surrey, and skytrain back, and then skytrain out again for the auction the next day. Not so bad. I will have to remember to ask them what I need to do for insurance and how thats transferred to the new owner.
Gah. It’s going to be a busy busy busy week and weekend. I’m also supposed to pick up my RV on Saturday or Monday too. It’s a good thing Wolfe’s can’t explode.

I took all the art off the walls today. It’s amazing how taking art down off the walls changes a home into a box. Anyhoo. I’ve packed up another 5 or so boxes and wrapped all the art in bubble wrap. The only things I have left to do are to go through the clothing and separate what we’ll bring for travelling and what we will store, take the shelves down upstairs, and sort through the kitchen for things to donate to the food bank. Another 2-3 hours of work and we’re done.
In exactly one week, our stuff gets moved into storage. Then we will either stay with a friend or in a hotel for a few days while the condo sale finishes and the money gets deposited into out account. Then we can go get our RV.
I dion’t have much more to say lately. I’ve been pretty consumed with moving, setting up a new corporation, and planning for the next year.
I’m sure I’ll have more exciting things to write once we’re moved and I’m less stressed out!

I just realized that I haven’t had sex for 6 months. You’d expect a sex positive, kinky, bi, pornographer to be getting laid with relative frequency, but that’s just not the case. My libido seems to have gone the way of the bear in winter; it’s hibernating. Funny thing is I don’t really miss it. I miss skin to skin contact, but not the sex.
I’ve always had a flexible libido though. My libido adapts to my circumstances and the availability of partners. The only thing that affects my libido that I don’t have as much control over is stress. Stress is the libido killer.
Katt and I have decided to drop the label ‘polyamorous’ and just say we’re in an open marriage. The poly communities I see are incestuous to the nth degree and are full of well meaning bunnies and light flakey drama queens. I think having domestic slaves is the wave of our future. I’m not sure that either of us will ever seek out intense romantic relationships with other’s again, though one never knows what might happen in the future.
We’ll spend the next year or three travelling so there won’t be much opportunity for anything other than casual flings, which may actually work out quite well. Once we decide to settle down again we’ll start working towards our grand vision of the future, which will include living a D/S lifestyle with domestic servants and in home dungeon space.
One of Vancouvers local BDSM organizations has set up a sex positive room with bed and a glory hole. If I was more advernturous and wasn’t so fussy, I might take a turn sticking my dick in a hole. Of course, I’d probably have to supply my own sucker behind the hole so that would take some of the thrill out of it, and having some anonymous person that I wouldn’t know if they were hot or not would also be kinda off putting. So no dick in a hole for me unless I get an offer from someone I find super hot and can guarantee me a very good blow job. What can I say, I demand the best!
The only sexual scenarios that even remotely get me interested (this is not including the lovely Katt, who I would shag at the drop of a hat), is boy on boy sex, and sexual service submissives. I’m very much into being serviced at this point in my life. I desire lots and lots of attention from sexy, cute, submissive individuals.
Hmm.. here I am chatting about all sorts of hot stuff, and not even a tingle. Ah well.

We will be moving in less than 2 weeks! I packed 2 more big boxes yesterday with all the items from our huge mahogany chest. It’s not as overwhelming when I do it a few boxes at a time. I’ve got a place set aside now for boxing up things we’ll need to take with us while we travel. It has to go in storage for the few days between moving out and picking up our van.
I’ve got a bunch of things advertised for sale, like my desk, and a potted rose. But thus far no takers. I also have my car that I need to sell at the end of the month. It’s going to be a challenge to sell the car once we move. If I can’t find a private buyer, I’ll bite the bullet and sell it to a dealership. Hopefully it won’t come to that. It’s a great little car. I put an ad in the local buy&sell for next thursday. We shall see what happens.
Every day I try to get a few more things done. Mail forwarding is set up now, and all the things that needed to be cancelled are now cancelled.
I need to get more boxes.
Katt’s e-bay clothing auction is almost over. Out of 90 items, 45 have been paid for and shipped, and 40 more are waiting to be paid and shipped, and 5 have yet to finish being auctioned. It’s not as challenging as I thought to keep track of payment and shipping on ebay. I will be happy though when it’s all finished!

Katt has been selling her plus size clothing on ebay over the last week and a bit. She’s got 90 items up for sale. 40 of those auctions have ended, and that means sending invoices and shipping the items when they are paid for. We -vastly- under estimated the cost of shipping. A single item costs $12-14 CDN to ship, and we’re charging $8CDN, for a loss of $4-5. On multiple items we won’t lose quite as much, but we’ll still lose money. Overall I we’ll make money, but the next time we do an auction we’ll know what we need to charge for shipping so we are sure to cover shipping costs.
It’s an interesting experience. I know now to a) run smaller auctions, b) charge the right shipping amount, c) hire someone to rub my back while I invoice, accept payments, and ship.
Yeah.
