Shopping, firsts, and love

I bought a fantastic pair of shoes today that, unfortunately, ended up hurting my feet. I am going to see if I can get them stretched a tiny bit over my toes. All I need is a few millimeters more space and my toes will have all the room they need to wiggle without being crunched.

I had a few firsts today. I had my first manicure; I wasn’t impressed. I thought I’d end up with these super buffed and hot nails, and they look exactly like they do when I do it myself. I also got my back waxed. Neat experience. Once I hit 30 I started to grow this patch of hair in the small of my back and it started spreading upwards. 10 minutes of wax on, wax off, and my back is legendary!

It’s not a first, but I fit into size 34 pants again! I was a 36-38 a few months ago and for much of the last few years, and with my recent change in eating habits I’m down to a 34 with an occasional 36 thrown in. Sweet.

And on another good, well, GREAT, note… I have a sex life again! Not that the end all and be all in life is sex; the most important thing to me is the kind of intimacy that comes with it. Anyone who knows me sees how much I love Katt and how, well, devoted, I am to her. (It hasn’t made it easy for those I’ve been in a poly relationship with). That didn’t mean I didn’t love the people I was in a poly relationship with, it meant that I wasn’t able to give what I thought I could. You never know unless you try, and I have certainly learned a lot in my life. No matter what kind of day I’ve had, if we’ve had an arguement, a difference of opinion, or illness, at the end of the day there’s no place I’d rather be than with her.

We’ve been together almost 15 years.  Wow.   She still takes my breath away.

Word of advice

Don’t hang upside down by your knees on a smooth branch…to try to impress your nephew…

while a motorcycle cop is driving by…

and when attempting to reach up with your arms to grab the tree branch to let yourself down…

slip and fall on your back…

and get the wind knocked out of you.

Getting back up to speed

Ξ August 22nd, 2006 | → Comments Off | ∇ General, Porn Notes |

I have been focusing a lot on work the last few days. I need to in order to pay to fix the LCD screen on my fabulous laptop. I found out I could save about $500 by sending the laptop directly to Gateway to have the LCD screen fixed instead of the $1300 I was quoted locally. The plan is to test the laptop to make sure it’s all working (by hooking it up to a regular monitor) before sending it off. I want to be sure there’s nothing else wrong before I invest in fixing it.

I wrote some enquiry e-mails today about posting ads for head shaving models in local fetish newsletters. We really need to find models for Bald Beauties. We offer attractive compensation for head shave models so we’re hoping it draws some interest.

I really love our members area CMS. It simplifies site updates immensely. I’ve got 2 out of 14 sites added so far; I stopped after the first two while we were travelling and now I’m back in the groove again. I started working on the third site tonight and will try to finish it in the next few days and will move on to the next.

Jodie: We’re in Victoria now but I am booked up on a contract for the next few weeks, but I should have some free time at the end of the month.

Donna:  Bowen Island is nice, but not really in our price range.   We’re looking on Vancouver Island since there are more properties in our price range.  We can get more property (which meanswe can throw parties and bring friends over from the mainland) for a cheaper price.

Bad news Wolfe… -sigh-

I left my computer on my bed like I usually do while we drive and we had to brake quickly to stop at a light and my computer crashed to the floor and the LCD screen broke, the computer chassis bent, and the machine was generally destroyed.  I’ve had the machine for 5 months.  It cost me $1700.  It would have cost me at least $1400 plus tax to fix, so I bought a new computer.  Katt’s machine is in the shop because it is on the blink (a hardware problem, not a damage issue), so we were left completely computerless.  I have been beating myself up all evening for not securing the computer better before driving.  Thankfully Katt has been very relaxed and calming. It amazes me how she can let certain kinds of things just roll off her back, espeically things that cause me to stress out.
The broken machine still boots up and loads.  I can hook it up to an external monitor and it works fine.  I will do that tomorrow and start transferring data over to my new machine.  I will keep the old machine as well and will eventually use it as a video cam broadcast console.  It should still work for that if attached to an external monitor.  Then it won’t be a total waste of money.

I hate wasting money.  It irritates me and stresses me out, especially when we have so little to spare.  If my business can afford it at the end of the year I’ll get it to buy the computer from me so I have less out of my pocket.

We have been hoping to get back into the housing market and we invested in an equity fund before we went on our trip.  The stock market has tanked in the last 5 months and our investment has lost a lot of value too.  We have to wait until the market re balances again before we can settle down.

It’s been a day of bad news and bad things happening all the way around.

Tomorrow will be a better day.

Yeah…

In the meantime…  We will continue living out of our RV and will rotate between family members so we can save money.

We are back in BC again.  We arrived on Monday and we’ve spent the last few days visiting my family.  About 2 weeks ago we decided we were done travelling, so we’ve been trying to decide where we want to live.  There are parts of Vancouver Island we are considering, as well as parts of the sunshine coast and parts of eastern BC.  As always, time will tell where we end up.

Wherever we end up, we’ll be within 6 hours of Vancouver so we can go to parties and keep in touch with friends.   We also need to be close to town for business.

Speaking of business…  We’re desperate to find a lovely lady to shave her head on camera with us.  We pay!  Contact me if interested!

Back on the subject of home.  I am really looking forward to finding a place to live.  I am very ready to have a home base again.  We’ll spend the next few weeks on Vancouver Island visiting family and looking at places, then we’ll be coming back to the mainland to look as well.  It should be fun.

Wyoming

Ξ August 10th, 2006 | → 4 Comments | ∇ General, Travel Diary |

I heard a great remark when listening to some radio guys chat about camel toes the other day. “It looks like she’s hiding a yo yo in there!”. I found it amusing.

Here are some photos from our drive yesterday. Click to enlarge.

The Badlands.

You can see by looking at the baldlands why the bad guys would hide in there. Pre 1920’s there was no reliable road in or out so the ‘law’ was reluctant to follow anyone in there.

Devil's Tower
The Devil’s Tower.

We had planned to go into the park and get up close and personal with the tower but we had to compete for road space with 2500 or so bikers. We snapped a few photos and moved on. It was pretty amazing to see, though.

I wrote a bunch of stuff below the photos, but my computer fucked up and deleted everything. Grrrr.

Here’s a brief recap.

We’re going to a rodeo tonight. Katt has never been to one before so we thought we’d check it out, especially since we get driven there and back by bus which means the dogs will be happy in the air conditioned van.

It’s really hot outside. It’s a nice dry heat though so even though it’s hot you’re not dripping wet. We’ve availed ourselves of the pools in the camgrounds we’ve stayed at to keep as cool as we can.

We’ve really enjoyed the scenery in Wyoming. The drive has been absolutely amazing. We’re heading into Yellowstone park tomorrow and we’ll try to see old faithful while we’re there. After we visit the park, we’ll probably move on to Montana unless we’re blown away by a campground in the park.

My first Amish experience…

Ξ August 8th, 2006 | → Comments Off | ∇ General, Travel Diary |

Was a good one! Katt and I were shopping at the Super Walmart in Rochester, MN and when I turned into an aisle in the ladies wear section there was an Amish woman and her late teen’ish daughter. I got flirted with by an Amish daughter. She had her finger on her lip and looked up at me coyly and smiled and gave extended flirty eye finger in mouth action. My goodness. When we’d passed through the aisle, Katt exclaimed gleefully, “That Amish girl was checking you out!”.

Of all the experiences I’ve had in my life, being flirted with by an Amish girl was not something I’d have expected.

We travelled a lot this week. We drove about 600km a day for the last 3 or 4 days. I really like the 75mph(120km/hr) speedlimit on the Interstates. It cuts a lot of time off of the trips and allows us to get to our destinations in a reasonable time frame. On the down side, the van drinks up gas like it’s going out of style at 120km/hr. Gas mileage drops from 14mpg to about 10-11mpg. On the plus side, gas works out to be about 93-99 cents per litre. It all balances out.

We’re near Midtown, South Dakota tonight.  Pretty shortly after we found a spot to park for the night a thunderstorm broke out.  It was pretty amazing to watch the thunderstorm roll in over the plains and watch all the lightning strikes. I’ll miss the thunderstorms when we’ve come back to BC.

There are a few sights we really want to see while we’re in western SD, and eastern WY.   The plan for tomorrow is to drive through the Badlands in SD, and stop at a few tourist attractions, then head towards the Devil’s Tower in WY.  If you haven’t heard of the Devil’s tower, if you’ve ever seen Close Encoutners, you’ll recognize it as the mountain that Richard Dreyfuss sculpts.  After that, it’s off to Yellowstone park in WY.  I am debating whether or not to drive down to AZ and see the grand canyon.  It’s really far out of our way, so it’s unlikely we’ll do it this trip.  I’d still love to see it some day.

Wisconsin

Ξ August 6th, 2006 | → Comments Off | ∇ General, Travel Diary |

We’re on the road again. We decided we’d had enough of travelling and we’re on our way home. We’re still doing some sight seeing on the way home; notably, we’re going to the badlands in South Dakota, and We’re going to see Yellowstone Park and the Devil’s Tower in Wyoming. The goal is to be back in Vancouver around the 22nd of August. Once we’re back in town I’m going to look for a *gasp* non self employed job, and once I’ve found a job, we’ll find a house to live in. We’ve decided that it’s time to get back to the process of saving up to buy property, and the easier way to do that would be for me to get a part time job. It should be easy enough, I’m eminently employable. I’ll look all over BC to see what jobs are available. We may end up on the Island, northern BC, or Vancouver. We shall see.

Being back in town will also allow us to focus more on the business. Being away for 5 months has not been great for business, seeing as we have not been able to connect with any models on our trip. No models=no content=no sales=Wolfe is a saaaaaad Panda.

The RV will go on the market as soon as we find a place to live. We’ll be able to sell it for what we bought it for, considering the same year/model sells for 5k more than we bought it for, and we’ve put a lot of work into the vehicle so it’s in better shape than the ones that are 5k more.

I am really looking forward to being home. In the future, when we travel, we’re going to take shorter, more affordable, trips. We’ve had such an amazing time on this trip, but our finances will only accomodate it for so long.

So if you’re looking for a lovely RV, you know who to ping!

Another reason I am looing forward to being home… sex. I want more of it. I also want more kink play. Nude oil wrestling here I come!

Speaking of nude… I’m down to 208lbs now. I’m becoming positively svelte! None of my pants fit me anymore. Thankfully, we will be in the US for the next few weeks so I’m going to go buy some new clothes. One of the things we really love about travelling through the US is the price of clothes, food, and gas. Pretty much everything we’ve needed to get has been substantially cheaper. The only thing that has cost the same or more is accomodation. Thankfully, we realized we can stay for free at Casinos!  Leila is very happy about the vast selection of diet food we’ve encountered here as well.  there are tonnes of healthy options in stores.
We spent last night at the Bad River Casino in Wisconsin. They have water and electric hookups for RV’s; it’s great! We went inside and asked where we registered, and we were told that Casinos don’t generally charge for RV spaces, since RV’ers spend loads of money (Usually) in the casino. Yay for free parking! It actually doesn’t end up being free, since we do go in and have dinner. I went into the casino (my first time ever in a casino) and I tried to find a Hold’em table, but no luck. It was primarily a slots casino. Oh well.

Tonight we’re near Rice lake, Wisconsin.  Tomorrow the goal is to get to Sioux City, SD.  the next day we want to be in the badlands in SD.  It means two 7 hour driving days, but I think we’re up to it!
