Dry

Ξ October 28th, 2007 | → Comments Off | ∇ General |

I got my truck back today and the leak has been fixed.  Iggy and I walked from my place to pick up the truck; about an hour walk.  I love to go for walks with Iggy.  He’s really well behaved on the leash and he has so much fun.

When we got home I put a coat of paint on the window trim.  It took about 2 hours but I think that I got it all covered.  I’ll check tomorrow to see if it needs another coat of paint - hopefully not.

Other than that, the plan for Sunday is to catch up on housework.  I’ve got laundry, dishes,  cleaning, and laundry to do.

We still have to get ready for Halloween.  Maybe we’ll go pick up some pumpkins and some treats for the kids tomorrow, too.  In general, I’m pretty stick in the muddish about costumes.  I haven’t worn one since I was 7 or 8.  I just feel wildly uncomfortable when I put on a costume.  So, I don’t.  I enjoy the giving out treats part though.

My workouts have been going well.  I’ve been making it to the gym 5-6 days a week.  My diet is struggling though; I’m having problems controlling my sugar intake.  I love my sweet things.  It is a really hard habit to break.  I will get back into the habit of eating complex carbs and low GI foods again. Part of my penchant for quick foods is the fact I don’t have to cook anything.  I made a big pot of wild rice today that I’ve put in the fridge and it will last me a few days.  I should look for a cookbook for low fat healthy food.  It would help a lot.  Most of what I make now is so boring that I just kind of eat because I have to.

If I want the cut body, I have to eat the right way.  70% of having a six pack is your diet.  Only 30% is exercise.  My goal hasbeen to stay around 195lbs +/- 5lbs and strip away the fat and build muscle.  I think if I can find recipes that I like, I will be more likely to eat well.

6 weeks in a leaky…

Ξ October 26th, 2007 | → Comments Off | ∇ General |

The leak in my truck is being fixed today.  When I spoke with the leak guy he was apologetic it would take another night, but the leak was pretty serious and he wanted to make sure the job was done properly.  He’s using a liquid polymer that coats and plugs all the holes and he’s using a plug to redirect the water away from worrisome areas.  The truck should never leak again.  Woohoo!  Not having a vehicle for 48 hours is a challenge.  I had to *gasp* walk into town today to get groceries, do my banking, and go to the library.  Walking is good exercise though.

In other news, my laptop has been send to the manufacturer to get fixed.  I am really glad I have an extended warranty.  By the time I get it back it will have been about a month since I first sent it to get looked at.  Not so efficient, but as long as the laptop gets fixed I shall not complain overly much.

I did my yard work today;  that was fun.  Everything has been raked, trimmed, mowed and winterized.  I even turned my compost pile.

The plan for tomorrow is to pick up my truck between 10 and noon and then come back home to finish painting the window trim on the house.   If I have time I’ll also pressure wash the front stoop and maybe wash the truck.

I know, I lead an exciting life!  I actually really enjoy a mellow lifestyle.  I am happiest when I’m doing things around the house, exercising, and doing social things.  If we end up staying here next year, which I think we will, I want to plant a garden in the back yard.  I’ve got great compost that should be ready by then, and lots of space for a garden.   I really need to tackle the fence on the east side of the property at some point.  I’ve jury rigged it for now, but a lot of the boards are almost rotted through and I am not sure how much longer they’ll last.  It’s solid enough for now though and will last the winter.

Eager to get my truck back!

Heat

Ξ October 26th, 2007 | → Comments Off | ∇ General |

I finally had the heater core replaced on my truck.  It didn’t go without incident though as the AC stopped working after the heater core was replaced.  I also have a water leak on the passengers side of the truck, leaking directly onto the floor.  I took it to a few places and was finally directed to a local shop that only does leak repairs.  I left my truck there overnight tonight and hopefully the leak will be relatively cheap to fix.  So far I’ve managed to avoid putting a lot of money into the truck, which is awesome considering it has 260k km on it.  The timing of the repairs sucks though since we’re tight on cash.   The AC is being looked at on Monday or Tuesday by the same place that did the heater core.  Since it stopped working after they worked on the truck, I figure they bear the responsibility for the cost of fixing it.

Over the next few days I have a fair bit of yard work to do. The lawn needs mowing, the leaves need raking, and the hedges need trimming.  Once I get that done I should be finished until spring. Once that is done I need to finish painting the window trim in the back of the house.  It will need two more coats - about 2 hours worth of painting.   I have to unstick the bathroom window.  I painted it closed.  Oops.  A thin knife should allow me to separate the paint along the seam and get it working again.

Not much else going on at the moment.  Life is mostly about work, gym, sleep, and dogs.

The Big V

Ξ October 23rd, 2007 | → Comments Off | ∇ Fitness, Sex Talk |

I got to bring in my 90 day post vasectomy semen sample today.  It was an interesting experience.  I’ve never cum in a jar and given it to someone to analyze before.  The part that sucked was that the instructions for the collection specified NO LUBE.  Come on.. no lube?  I had to get creative, so I used the Hitachi magic wand and got it using that as the masturbatory aid.  The Hitachi works, but it isn’t my favorite way of getting off.  It lacks finesse, shall we say, and goes straight to the nerve centre.

When I brought it into the lab my cum in a jar was treated with great urgency.  From my pocket it went straight to the lab with much fanfare.  It was very exciting to have my semen get so much attention.

Hopefully the results will show that I have no sperm count.  I am really looking forward to the fact that I will no longer be able to make anyone pregnant - EVER.

Of course there are other concerns other than pregnancy, like sti’s, so protected sex still happens regardless of the Big V.  But the Big V certainly eliminates the risk of accidents.

My workout today was awesome.  I keep records each week of sets, reps, and weight and it is nice to see each week that I am making progress.  Seeing my body on the video Katt and I did yesterday was really motivating and renewed my commitment to getting fitter.

I made an appointment to get my truck fixed tomorrow.  $360 bucks to get the heater core fixed.  Much better than the $1100 the dealer was going to charge me.  Which reminds me; I need to get the heater core from the shop so I don’t forget to bring it tomorrow.

So…  crossing my fingers for no sperm!

Christmas before Halloween.. ptthhht

Ξ October 22nd, 2007 | → Comments Off | ∇ General |

I saw Christmas decorations in the stores about 10 days ago. Is it just me, or does anyone else notice that they’re coming out earlier and earlier each year? It used to be that they’d come out on Nov 1, which was fine, but this whole before halloween thing is rather lame.

I did a little big of home repair today; nothing major. I put a new window casement latch and weather stripped on the master bedroom window. I try to do a little bit here and there to the house when we can afford it.

We did a shoot for bald beauties today too. Katt is sporting a lovely shaved head again.

We also went to the gym for a swim today. I did laps for half an hour; not without resting now and again, of course. I swim well but my endurance sucks.

I have been looking at real estate on Vancouver Island, trying to figure out where the best place for us to go would be. We’re not considering moving until spring/summer, but I like to look ahead. I was originally thinking somewhere a bit remote, but lately I have been thinking of something in the range from Duncan to the Comox Valley. I originally thought it might be nice to have a hobby farm, but we simply can’t afford any kind of acreage on Vancouver Island. That means we’re looking at another house on a 1/4 - 1/2 acre lot, which makes me think it might be better to be somewhere where there is work and a community close by. In the long run we might just be better of staying where we are until the property value here goes up more. It would certainly give us more options.

I am looking for a job so we can afford to do the work needed on the house. If I get a job I like it might just be work sticking around for a few more years. I am waiting to hear back from a job that really interests me; I am hoping I’ll get it. I won’t know for at least another week or so, so I am still looking for something else, but I have high hopes for my #1 job pick.

My ideal situation would be to eventually live on a 2-5 acre hobby farm. I grew up on one and I really loved it. If staying here a few more years means we have that option, I am very open to it. If we move now we really limit where we can move and what we can buy.

It all comes down to me getting a job. Income is tight, so I must untighten it.

I tell you though, going back to work for someone else is challenging. I have been able to call my own shots for 7 years and it will be odd to have a set schedule again. I think it’ll be good though. I think I need to get out of the house a bit more and I think the social aspect of work will also be nice.

So, I think the long and short of it is we might stay here for a few more years. It probably would be in our best interest. If my preferred job doesn’t come through I’ll suck it up, ignore my pride, and get any kind of job that will bring in the extra income we need.

Thanks for listening.

Fair weather on the horizon

Ξ October 20th, 2007 | → Comments Off | ∇ General |

It looks like we’re going to have a nice stretch of sunny weather starting next week.  I am VERY excited.  I will be able to finish off a few outdoor projects I am half done and start raking leaves and cut the lawn (hopefully for the last time this year).

I had another great workout week.  Thursdays cardio nearly killed me.  I tried a different form of HIIT than I usually use and it worked really well.  Still working on removing the chocolate from the diet.  I eat pretty well other than the chocolate covered almonds or the milk chocolate.  It is very hard for me to give it up.

I like to have fitness goals, it keeps me entertained - and healthy.

Aside from being healthy, I’m motivated by vanity.  I want to look good.

I haven’t had much in the way of kink or sex to write about in the last while in my blog.  I still write about what is happening in my life, but there is much less of a focus on the whole poly kinky porny thing in my life than there used to be.  Poly was too much of a hassle, porn is still fun but has slowed down with our move out of town, and the kink has slowed down now that we are no longer running parties in our dungeon every month.

Life is quite good.  I am really enjoying the simplicity of my life right now.  The only thing that could be better (other than Katt feeling healthier) is if we had some local folks to play canasta with.

Lump

Ξ October 19th, 2007 | → Comments Off | ∇ General |

I had a Dr’s appt in Vancouver today to look at a bump that stated growing on my head.  He didn’t say what it was except to tell me that a shot of cortisone into the bump might get rid of it, and of not, it’ll need to be cut off.  The result, a new 1.5″ scar on my head.  I have lots of scars anyways so if I do need to have it removed it’ll fit right in with the others.  Battle Wounds!

The drive to and from Vancouver was very cold.   There is no heat in the truck until I get the heater core replaced, and in order to keep the windows de-fogged I have to let fresh air come out the dash.  We have to go into town again tomorrow for another appointment so we’re going to bring some blankets to help us stay warm.  On Monday I will make an appointment to have the heater core replaced.  It is too cold to be without heat.

The last of the sunshine

Ξ October 16th, 2007 | → 2 Comments | ∇ Fitness, General |

I made good use of the last few days of sunshine.   I was able to prime the last of the exterior window trim and put a first coat of the paint on, repair the broken fence in the back yard, and remove the small tree that died in the summer.  Not too bad at all.   I have to wait for more sunny days before I put the last two coats of paint on the exterior windows.  That could take a while.

According to Environment Canada a La nina is forming in the ocean, which typically means a wetter and colder winter.  No sun makes Wolfe a saaaaad panda.

I am so happy I put a new roof on the house.

I have been hitting the gym 5 days a week, for an hour each day.  The workouts are going really well.  I am seeing improvements which is awesome.   I am having trouble with my diet though.  I am getting really bored of chicken, wild rice, and protein shakes so I tend to eat less than I should.  I am working on finding ways to make chicken more interesting.  My trouble is never eating too much, it’s not eating enough.  When I have put on weight in the last it was from drinking cola and eating candy, but still low volumes of food.  With a a healthy diet I have to eat 5-6meals a day - at 400-500 calories per meal.  And 200+ grams of protein (the equivalent of 4 medium chicken breasts approx).  Damn.  It was easy to drop weight, but it will be hard to add it on as muscle eating clean.  I shall do my best though.  I would like my porn body back.  You know, 205-210, 7-10% body fat, abs and shoulders…  hmmm.. yes.  Vanity is fun.

I am hoping for an interesting winter.

Oh…  I shaved of the goatee today.  I tend to shave it every year or two just to remind myself what I look like under the hair.   I’ll be growing it back as I always do.  I like the goatee - it balances me out.

As always, I tend to write late, and I stop when I get sleepy.  So.. good night to all.

Computer woes

Ξ October 13th, 2007 | → Comments Off | ∇ General |

I sent my computer in to get fixed again.  Either the power cord is faulty or the port where the power cord plugs in to the computer is broken.  When I put the computer on my lap the power connects and disconnects.  Thankfully the battery is always charged so I didn’t lose anything.  But it is  annoying.  I hope that it is something that can be fixed easily.  If there is a crack in the motherboard where the cord plugs in, then it means the mobo will likely have to be replaced.  If they decide not to do it under warranty, then I have to pay for it…  or get a new computer.  We shall see what they say after they determine what the problem is.  Hopefully I will not have to pay for it;  we is po.  But sharing one computer is not an option.  We need two.  Otherwise I get really far behind in my work.

Tomorrow I prime the trim on the windows in the back of the house.  It’s been dry for a few days so the wood should be dry and take paint.  Then I have some accounting to do, and some e-bay listings to do.

Next week is busy.  Appt for Katt Monday, I am hopefully repairing the heater core on my truck on Tuesday night, Weds I have an interview, and Thursday I have a Dr’s appt.

So exciting.

Turkey Day #1

Ξ October 9th, 2007 | → 2 Comments | ∇ General |

Turkey Dinner was a success tonight.  The turkey was moist and awesome.  I stuffed it with onions, mushrooms, and garlic and it really made the turkey taste good.

Overall it was a pretty good day.  I cleaned when I woke up, went shopping, put the turkey in, kept cleaning, prepared food, entertained, ate, did dishes, ate some pie, cleaned some more, entertained some more, then our guests left and we went to the gym.

Then I worked.

And now I am getting sleepy.

Bye!
