Working for a living again…

… has taken some getting used to.  While I love my jobs, I am not used to being away from home for the majority of the waking part of the day.  It has definitely been an adjustment to get used to working outside the home.  The internet business has been slowly declining over the last year or so, and nothing we’ve done has been able to revive it.  The economy, exchange rate, and a changing market, has dealt it a stunning blow.  So working outside the home full time is the way to go for the future.

Much of my thoughts have been focused on Katt’s health, and earnng a living.   There is not much going on other than that.

The puppies have escaped the fence in the back yard a few times over the last couple of weeks.  The babies, not the adults.  It has caused quite the considerable amount of stress.  I have fixed the fence where I can and made sure there are no spaces wher ethey can dig underneath the fence, but alas, puppies are very very very very focused.  I think I have gotten everything now.  No more holes, but 2/3 of the fence desperately needs to be replaced in order ensure that dogs are safe from people grabbing them or them escaping.

Our goal is to redo the fence in September if we can afford it.  Keeping the dogs safe is our #1 priority.  We love them a lot and wuld be devastated if they were stolen or if they somehow got out.  It will take us a while to save up, unfortunately, so temp repairs will have to do for now, but I am working 5-6, sometimes even 7 days a week so that we can get it done.

We originally were going to keep two puppies, but we realized that it was not the best idea, so we have oe little girl going to a new home on Monday evening.  It was easy to let them go at 8 weeks, but this little girl has been with us for almost 14 weeks and I have really grown to love her.  It will be sad for me when she is gone.

I have gotten into warcraft.  It is addictive.  I spend ime playing it when I could be doing more productive things.  I am not motivated much at all right now to do much that is productive.  I haven’t been to the gym in weeks, and before that months, and I have home projects I could do that I have the material for, but I have no motivation at all.  I think I might be saving it all up for the fence.  It will be about 166 feet of fencing to put in…  a lot of work.  That takes a lot of motivation to do.

Other than 4 days in August, I am working solid throughout the summer.

The awesome news for the summer thus far has been the fact that we have been able to pay off 2 out of 4 student loans, and the thrd wil be paid off on August 1st.  That leaves only one student loan left.  I don’t remember how much that one has left to pay off, but I think it will be a few years left to go still.  I very much want our debt paid off ASAP.  The only reason I added to our debt with the car loan was to save money.  Wierd concept, but the math works.  I do miss my truck a lot.  I actually wish I had waited and kept it for the summer.  I really like my car, but the SUV was so useful and it has been hard to give that up.

I have been in a bit of a funk, I think.  Lack of exercise, lack of fun goals, lack of martial arts, and feeling a bit adrift and disconnected from the universe.

Ah well.. bed time… have to get up at 5…
